Our Director of Hydrology, Dr Harvey Rodda, is an Associate Professor at University College London. This week has seen a welcome return to field trips with his students, as they took a break from the city to visit Goring-on-Thames in Hydro-GIS’ home county of Oxfordshire.
The MSc students were using topographic surveying of the local area around the River Thames to assess the impact of a flood event in 1894.

The effects of the pandemic throughout the last couple of years have impacted students greatly, so a day out, in the sunshine, as a group, together, was appreciated by all.
